This notice explains how the personal data of visitors to this website and users of the contact form is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Luigi Masecchia. For any request concerning your personal data you can write to privacy@luigimasecchia.it.

2. Personal data we collect

We only collect the data you provide to us voluntarily and the technical data required to run and secure the site.

  • Contact form: your name, email address and the content of the message you choose to send us.
  • Web server logs: IP address, browser type (user agent), date and time of the request and the page requested. This data is generated automatically by any web server.

The site uses no cookie- or JavaScript-based analytics, performs no profiling and displays no advertising.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Responding to requests sent through the contact form — legal basis: pre-contractual measures and/or the data subject’s consent (Art. 6(1)(b) and (a) GDPR).
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse, intrusion attempts and automated attacks — legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Complying with legal obligations — legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Retention period

  • Contact-form messages: for as long as needed to handle your request and then for up to 24 months, unless a longer period is required to establish or defend legal claims or by law.
  • Full server logs (including IP): 14 days, then deleted.
  • Aggregate traffic statistics: in anonymised form (the last part of the IP address is removed) for up to 12 months.

5. Disclosure of data

Your data is never disclosed or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. The site runs on infrastructure managed directly by the controller: there are no third-party hosting, newsletter, analytics or social-plugin providers receiving your data. Public authorities may receive it only where required by law.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Data is processed and stored on servers located within the European Union. No transfers to third countries take place.

7. Your rights

As a data subject you have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation of processing and access your data (Art. 15);
  • request its rectification (Art. 16) or erasure (Art. 17);
  • request restriction of processing (Art. 18) or object to processing (Art. 21);
  • receive your data in a structured format and have it transmitted to another controller (Art. 20);
  • withdraw any consent given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority — Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

To exercise these rights, write to privacy@luigimasecchia.it. We will reply within one month.

8. Cookies

This site uses only technical cookies that are necessary for it to work properly. No profiling, analytics or third-party cookies are used, which is why there is no consent banner.

  • site_lang — stores the language you selected so pages are shown in the right version. Lifetime: 1 year. Technical cookie.

The contact form sets no cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you disable the language cookie, the default language will be shown on each visit.

The controller may update this notice at any time. The date at the top of the page shows the last revision; please check back periodically.
